Shari Monson Executive for Mission and Strategy
It is both my joy and my job to lead Chapel Hill's Missions involvement, to facilitate the Adult Ministries leadership team, to oversee Women's Ministries, and supervise the Communications and Human Resources staff. Working together with staff and member teams, I purpose to integrate sound strategies and missional outreach in all aspects of our church life.

Sheila Mischke Director of Missions for Sustainable Partnerships
Being a part of the Chapel Hill Missions team is just the right context for me to live out my enthusiasm for what God is doing around the world through his people. I have the profound joy of hearing from, encouraging and connecting the many folks in our church who are currently involved in missional activity, and look forward to sharing this joy with more of our community.

Deb Robertson Director of Grade School Ministries
As Director of Ministries to Children and Families, I am privileged to provide oversight and support of our many volunteers as they fulfill their ministries to children ages Kindergarten – 5th grade.Through the efforts of volunteers—middle schoolers through senior citizens—programs such as Waypoints Bible memory program, after school tutoring or mentoring, Upward Basketball & Cheerleading, camps & midweek programs, music & drama, and local & foreign mission projects compliment our creative Sunday morning classes to give kids a solid foundation for a living a vibrant, personal faith.

I have been involved in middle school ministry for more than 6 years, including two years as an intern at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle. “I absolutely love working with Middle school students; they’re just plain fun! They have such incredible potential, it ‘s awesome to see what happens when Christ gets a hold of their lives.”

Brad Scandrett Director of High School Ministries
My passion is for high school students to come to know, love, engage and encounter the living God. It is my desire to see students grow as one family, to make their faith their own, to love and know Jesus more intimately, to seek to love others and to make Jesus known. My mission is to connect every [high school] student to Christ and His community for a lifetime. I love working with students, but I love working for my God more!

Lance Brown Minister of Care & Renewal
My passion is seeing the gospel worked deep into our lives and relationships. I oversee Recovery Ministries–both adult and teen–as well as our very exciting Lay Counseling program. I also coordinate our Marriage & Premarital Ministries, provide congregational care, and oversee our CARE Ministries to those in hospitals and those who are homebound. I love what I do and love my church for doing it!

Kathy Alvestad Director of Worship & Fine Arts Ministries
I have the privilege of guiding and overseeing our worship, music and technical ministries at Chapel Hill. Working with an amazing staff, I am challenged weekly to help plan inspiring, life-changing worship services. I love meeting people who desire to share their gifts and enjoy helping them find their place in ministry. It is an honor to serve the church and people I have loved for so many years!

Patti Weaver Women's Ministry & Human Resources
For the past six years it has been my joy to work with the Adult Ministries team. I have most recently focused in the area of Women’s Ministry. I absolutely love working with the women of Chapel Hill. They are an amazing, loving and dynamic group of people! I also have the privilege of guiding our terrific staff in the area of Human Resources. My passion is for people. I believe that God has uniquely equipped me with just the right skills to do this work. I am both humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.

Directors in Early Childhood & Young Family Ministries
We are proud to show Christ to children ages 3 months–5 years. Through our Sunday School, Nursery, Mid-week Programs, and Chapel Hill’s Preschool we provide a place where children are Growing In God’s Great Love Everyday (also known as GIGGLE Harbor). Families can count on us to support them in raising up their children in Christ.
