adult ministries PDF Print E-mail

Life is a journey, and Adult Ministries wants to meet you where you are along the way. Your spiritual health and maturity is a key focus with us, but we care about your whole person. Towards that end we offer groups and activities that cover a broad range of interests, from athletics classes to a recovery ministry, from singles and seniors groups to those that minister to young mothers. And much more besides.

In some of our groups the focus is inward, towards meeting the needs of group members. Other groups focus outward in service to others. No matter where you are on your life journey, we have a place for you.

Come in and explore. Find an area of interest and give us a try. We look forward to welcoming you . . . right where you are.

This book study invites anyone with an interest in the Muslim world to join us for what is sure to be lively and intelligent conversation about bridging the gap between Christians and Muslims today. Come explore what Philip Yancey, Eugene Peterson, David Neff (editor and VP of Christianity Today) along with other prominent evangelicals credit as an important and timely book. Led by Shari Monson, Lance Brown & Mary Pandiani.

Church History
Mondays, July 7-August 11
6:30-8pm, in Room 230

This 6-week video series, with discussion groups facilitated by Wendy Stahl, covers everything you wanted to know about Church history...but were afraid to ask. Getting acquainted with our Christian past is like sitting down with a dear aunt & uncle or grandparents and having them take you through a photo album of your family’s past. They’ll introduce you to characters, events and past experiences that shaped who you are. That discovery can’t help but thrill your soul and make you so grateful for your family—for both the wonderful moments and the tragic ones. Contact Wendy at 514.0925.

Is it possible to live happily ever after? Will our marriage make it? These are questions that all couples struggle with at one point or another.

Christian marriages fail at a rate equivalent to non-Christian marriages. But when couples take time to explore their relationships, particularly when they are not in crisis, the failure rate goes down dramatically. It is vital to work at marriage and be determined to make it fulfilling, intimate, and rich.

Couples Life was designed for couples young and old—married, engaged, or just thinking about it. It provides keys to help couples bring more joy into their relationships. Husbands and wives are shown in practical ways how they were designed to fit in relationship. Couples Life is for all couples, church-going or not.

Check back in Fall 2008 for class schedule.
