Agros Foundation
This ministry is dedicated to helping break the cycle of poverty in developing countries through land ownership. Chapel Hill is partnering with AGROS, First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue, and Mercer Island Covenant Church in the five-year “Journey with a Village” program. Together, we serve in the village of La Esperanza in Cotzal, Guatemala. Volunteers are needed at the Seattle office to serve as:

  • Translators
  • Research assistants or for computer technical support
  • Event coordinators or outreach team trainers

Habitat for Humanity Int'l
This Christian housing ministry works in partnership with the faith community and families in need of adequate, affordable housing. Volunteers are needed to:

  • Provide both skilled and unskilled labor in home construction, locally and internationally
  • Supply meals and snacks for site workers
  • Assist with registration, nursing, parking, and errand running at the site, and church publicity

Trinity Presbyterian Church
Ministering to the disadvantaged in the Hilltop district of Tacoma, Trinity is committed to living the gospel in the heart of the city. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Clothing Bank:
    • Assist in the Thursday night clothing bank, 5-7pm.
    • Self-organized sorting parties on the first or last week of the month. Call the Trinity office to schedule days and times.
  • Food Bank:
    • Assist Mondays or Wednesdays from 12-2:30pm or Friday from 10am-12:30pm.
  • Medical Clinic (Tuesdays, 5-7pm):
    • Doctors, nurses, people with counseling and social service backgrounds are needed to volunteer their service.
    • Volunteers needed as receptionists and greeters to check in patients on Tuesday Nights.
  • Dental Clinic:
    • Dentists and hygienists needed for the monthly clinic days
  • Trinity After School Program:
    • Tutors needed Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:15pm-4:30pm
  • The 7th Street Learning Center:
    • Tutors needed Monday – Friday from 3pm-5:30pm

World Vision
This Christian relief and development organization serves the world's poor and displaced without regard to religious beliefs, gender or ethnic background. Volunteers are needed to:

  • Help at concert events that promote Child Sponsorship
  • Serve in the Federal Way office in various departments including Internet Services, Marketing and Communications, and more.
  • Help sort and package donated goods to be given to ministry and community partners, who then distribute to families in need.
  • Help by cleaning, painting and sprucing up the Club Friday facility which is an outreach nightclub set up to help young adults.
