Sound & Sand Encounters: Bridging the Divide
August 1-12, 2010
Chapel Hill is partnering with Musalaha Ministries to help bridge the divide that exists between Christians in the land of Jesus. In August 2010 we are gathering 30 college age students (ages 20-25) here in GigHarbor (10 Messianic Jewish Christians from Israel, 10 Palestinian Christians and 10 Christians from our own community). These 30 young adults will live together, camp and hike together, kayak and explore together and learn to talk and listen to each other.
In April 2011, the same 30 young adults will participate in a reunion in Camp Wadi Rum in the JordanianDesert. (For the Americans this will also include sightseeing in Israel and the Palestinian Territories). Visit the Musalaha website to learn more about their vision. We have complied a Resource List for those interested in learning more about the need for reconciliation.
