The following are NEW CLASSES beginning January 12, 2010:

Intercessory Prayer—led by Sue Unterbrink
The practice of praying for or on behalf of another... what a privilege! During this class, we will work through the book The Ministry of Intercessory Prayer by Andrew Murray and learn the discipline of intercession. As I have studied this book, I have seen a gaping hole in my spiritual life: steadfast prayer for the world. Chapter titles include, “The Ministry of the Spirit and Prayer,” “My God will Hear Me” and “The Coming Revival.” Murray also includes a 31-day program to tune up your prayer life that would be great for the participants’ quiet times
.

James— led by Diane Vaccaro
The book of James is an often misunderstood book in scripture because of its emphasis on works. But James stresses that our works are a reflection of our faith.  As my faith grew this summer, I wanted my life to reflect a new, deeper love for God. I wanted to live differently because of how my faith had grown. Reading and meditating on James has given the Holy Spirit the opportunity to speak into my life regarding how I live out my faith.

Knowing the Bible 101—led by Sally Paulus
The Bible: What’s in it? What’s it all about? Does the Bible really have relevance today for me? Can I learn new insights about God?  Jesus? Will I find this interesting? If you are looking for answers to the above questions, come along as we explore the Bible’s contents in a relaxed, meaningful way. The Bible is a treasure waiting to be opened.

A Study on the Book of Romans—led by Arlene ButchartRomans is rich in hope for our spiritual needs. It takes us to a deeper knowledge of the nature of God Himself and gives us ways to appropriate that knowledge by living it out through the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. There are answers here to questions you may have had for a long time. If it’s your heart’s desire to go deeper into the God who loves you, this is for you!

The Sacred Echo: Hearing God’s Voice in Every Area of Your Life by Margaret Feinberg—
led by Sue Steensland
Using Scripture, Margaret Feinberg’s book The Sacred Echo and short videos of Margaret addressing us directly, we will explore our relationship with God. We’ll be challenged to prayerfully consider how God is at work in our life as well as in the lives of those around us. It’s an invitation to spiritual awakening and deeper relationship with God. The author helps us to see that when God really wants to get our attention, he doesn’t just whisper something once.  He echoes and echoes and echoes.

Take the Next Step—led by Diana Wimber
What is the desire of your heart?  Are you ready to take the next step on your spiritual journey? For each one in this class it may look a little different – but, the goal at the end is to take a step in spiritual maturity; to be wllling to follow where Jesus is leading, even if it means being stretched beyond our comfort zone. There will be a strong emphasis on class participation, with outside homework and exercises expected. Don’t take this class because your friend does. Take it because you feel it’s what God is calling you to right now.
