Villa Hortencia (Our Village)
Monday – Day 4
“I will trust in the Lord and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2
Hello from Guatemala!
Thank you for your prayers and continued prayers! We truly are seeing God at work! The team is HEALTHY and specially woven together and we are all excited to see what the Lord has in store the rest of the week!
We started the day with devotions that focused on fear. And how our mighty God brings His peace and strength that surpasses all! The team had already spoke of some fears of the drive to the village, fears of short-comings, etc., and boy did he show up! Today was our first day in Villa Hortencia. The road to get there is quite the road! It is a windy, cliff-filled dirt road that may have had at least a couple of the team members not sleeping well the night before. Well, we all made it safely and had an amazing day in the village with the people there!
We were able to pray with families, play with children and SEE how the Lord is working within the village continuing to be faithful in the progress there.
Tomorrow we get to visit the school and we are excited to be with the children of the village! Please continue to pray for the strength and endurance of our team as well as to have fresh eyes to see the work of the Father!

PS… Tonight we also heard about the tragedy in Boston. We mourn with you and gathered for a time of prayer and worship specific to this horrific event.
