Arrived in Thailand!
The Thailand team arrived in Bangkok safe and sound. After a full day of travel we were greeted by the House of Blessing staff who loaded our many bags up and drove us to the House of Blessing (HOB). When we were settled in, we began to catch a glimpse of the unique ways God is working in and through the House of Blessing, Pastor Soonthorn, the staff, and residents. Pastor Bill, an accomplished guitarist himself, was thrilled to witness the guitar manufacturing project, a part of the HOB entrepreneurial initiative that not only supports the HOB, but employs released prisoners and allows them to use their unique God-given gifts for good. It was beautiful to watching Pastor Bill admire the high quality craftsmanship, hear the testimony of the artisans, and observe the team encouraging these men in the new life they have chosen. At one point Kuen shared that he is “so grateful to God that He would allow his two hands that had caused so much pain and destruction to create such beautiful things.”
It reminds me of Genesis 50:20
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
What was once used for evil is redeemed and used for good. Isn’t that our own story? The evil one intends to destroy, but God only in His power and grace redeems us, and me, for His good. Praise the Lord! What was once was lost is now found!
