A Special Thank You from Pastor Mark

My dear Chapel Hill family:

This week, Cyndi and I received pictures from our daughter Rachel in her new robe (a gift from the Session) with her Chapel Hill St. Andrews stole around her neck, standing among the faculty members for Commencement at Montreat College. So…she’s off and running!

I just want to thank all of you once again for whatever part you played, large or small, in Rachel’s ordination service. Speaking personally, it was one of the highlights of my ministry. Judging from the many who came and the comments that followed, it was a highlight for you, as well. 

I am so grateful for the part Chapel Hill plays in raising, training, and launching new leaders.  In fact, as a teaser, we will be hosting the October presbytery meeting, at which time two more of our team, Julie Hawkins and Gunnar Tesdahl, will be received under care of our presbytery. It is very exciting.
