How to get connected at church
There is a lot going this fall at Chapel Hill! From LifeGroups launching, to Alpha and Celebrate Recovery on Wednesday Nights, Kid’s Ministry, Student Ministry, not to mention our weekly Sunday Services and a myriad of other things. I get that it can be hard to know where to plug in. I hope that you are using the Weekly Guide, the app, the website, and this email each week to find out ways to take your next step at Chapel Hill.
Like I said, I get that it can be hard to know where to plug in. I get it because it can be hard for us to know where people are plugged in. Knowing where people are engaged at Chapel Hill is a bit tricky. We have an idea, but we don’t quite know. We hope that all people who call Chapel Hill home are worshipping with us, serving others, connecting in community, and reaching others with the Gospel. But how do we measure that, and should we even measure it?
We have long wanted to get a baseline of how people are engaged at Chapel Hill so that we can see where we need to grow and help you grow. We want to shepherd this church well. To that end, we are launching a yearly Engagement Survey. Don’t worry, it’s not too long or too invasive. It’s really a check-in to see how we can all grow together to fulfill our mission of exalting Jesus, elevating others, and launching disciple-makers. As a thank you for your participation, your name will be entered into a drawing for one of five $100 gift cards to a local business. Winners will be announced Sunday, September 18.
So I hope you will take part in this survey. And if you find that, after you take the survey, you aren’t as engaged in the life of Chapel Hill as you would like, I encourage you to make a commitment to doing so this fall! Sign up for a LifeGroup. Make sure you scroll down past the blog in the Saturday Bulletin so you can see the most important ways to connect, serve, and reach at Chapel Hill. Listen carefully during the worship service when we announce opportunities to engage and be sure to click or tap on the links in the Guide. If you want to serve but don’t know where or how, take our Serve Survey. Let’s grow together!
