Unlock God’s Blueprint for Better Relationships
By Senior Pastor Ellis White
Have you ever wondered what makes relationships thrive, even when life gets tough? I’ve been thinking about how much our culture celebrates independence, but what if the key to stronger connections is found in something deeper—something countercultural?
Starting tomorrow, January 5, I’d love for you to join us at Chapel Hill for a new six-week sermon series, God’s Design for Love & Relationships. Whether you’re single, married, or somewhere in between, this series will explore how God’s blueprint for relationships can bring beauty and purpose into every season of life.
We’ll be looking at what the Bible says in passages such as Genesis 2, Ephesians 5, and 1 Corinthians 6-7 about topics like making and keeping covenant promises, loving each other through mutual submission, and even the unique gift of singleness. Relationships aren’t just about us—they’re a way we reflect God’s love and faithfulness to the world.
We’ve also got an amazing resource to help you dive deeper: Tim and Kathy Keller’s The Meaning of Marriage video series on RightNow Media. These videos build on each week’s sermon with practical wisdom and honest conversations about real-life relationships. They’re perfect for watching on your own, with a spouse, or with your LifeGroup. If you haven’t already, you can sign up for free access here.
I can’t think of a better way to start the new year than by investing in the relationships that matter most. Come join us tomorrow at 9:00 or 10:30 am—we’d love to see you there. Bring a friend or someone you care about and let’s explore what it means to love well and live out God’s design together.
Let’s do this,
Pastor Ellis
P.S.—Tomorrow will be our annual Renewal of Baptismal Vows service, where we start the new year by remembering that we are saved by grace and part of God’s family. Our elementary-aged children will join us in the service, and if they have been baptized, we’d love them to participate in the renewal. If they haven’t been baptized, feel free to submit a request for baptism and we will set up a time to meet with you to talk about planning a baptism for them at a later date.
