Experience the Power of Holy Week

Experience the Power of Holy Week

By Ellis White
Senior Pastor

Imagine walking the streets of Jerusalem, watching the crowds cheer as Jesus enters the city, feeling the weight of his final meal with his disciples, and standing in awe at the empty tomb. Holy Week isn’t just a story from the past—it’s the foundation of our faith. It’s the week that changed everything.

As we approach Easter, we invite you to journey with us through Holy Week at Chapel Hill. Each service and gathering will walk us through Matthew’s Gospel, helping us reflect on Jesus’ path to the cross and celebrate the joy of His resurrection.

Palm Sunday
April 13 at 9:00 & 10:30 am

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, the day Jesus entered Jerusalem to shouts of Hosanna! Join us as we celebrate this moment and prepare our hearts for the week ahead.

Maundy Thursday
April 17 at 6:30 pm

On this night, we remember the Last Supper, when Jesus gathered His disciples, washed their feet, and gave them a new commandment: to love one another. This reflective service will include communion and traditional music, helping us enter into the solemnity of Jesus’ final hours before the cross.

Good Friday
April 18 at 6:00 am, 9:00 am, noon, 3:00 pm, & 6:00 pm

Good Friday is a day of deep reflection as we remember Jesus’ suffering and death. I invite you to join me for a special Day of Prayer on our YouTube channel, with guided reflections. Take time throughout the day to pause, pray, and meditate on the sacrifice of Christ.

Easter Sunday
April 20 at 8:30, 10:00 & 11:30 am

And then, the moment we’ve all been waiting for—Easter Sunday! The tomb is empty, death is defeated, and hope is alive!
8:30 am – Traditional Worship | A rich, uplifting celebration featuring beloved hymns, choir, organ, brass, and bells.
10:00 & 11:30 am – Modern Worship | A dynamic, high-energy service filled with powerful music and praise.

Easter is the perfect time to invite friends, neighbors, or family members who may be searching for hope. Who in your life needs to hear the good news of Jesus? A simple invitation could make an eternal difference.

A Quick Favor: Can You Help Us Make Room?

Our 10:00 am service tends to be the most crowded. If you are able, consider attending the 8:30 am or 11:30 am service to help create space for guests.

Holy Week is a sacred opportunity to draw close to Jesus and experience the full weight of his love, sacrifice, and victory. Mark your calendar, invite a friend, and prepare your heart for this powerful journey.

Find all the details here. We can’t wait to worship with you!
