Passing the Torch

We are excited to experience a once-in-a-generation celebration of God’s goodness as Pastor Mark Toone passes the torch to Pastor Ellis White! First, join us Sunday, August 25, for ONE SERVICE ONLY at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary. Pastor Mark Toone will deliver his final service at Chapel Hill Church. This will be a service you won’t forget! Birth-Pre-K childcare will be available and ELEMENTARY KIDS’ WORSHIP WILL TAKE PLACE AT 10:00 am.

Then after you celebrate with Pastor Mark and Cyndi at their retirement party on Wednesday, August 28, come back to church Sunday, September 1, to bear witness to the installation of Chapel Hill’s next senior pastor Ellis White. Join us for ONE SERVICE ONLY at 10:00 am in the Sanctuary. Birth-Pre-K childcare will be available and ELEMENTARY KIDS’ WORSHIP WILL TAKE PLACE AT 10:00 am. 

We will return to having TWO SERVICES at 9:00 and 10:30 am the following Sunday, September 8. Birth-Pre-K childcare is available during both services and Elementary Kids’ Worship takes place during the 10:30 am worship service.

RETIREMENT CELEBRATION FOR PASTOR MARK & CYNDI

Sanctuary Celebration 6:30-8:00 pm

A celebration of Pastor Mark and Cyndi’s 37 years of faithful service to Chapel Hill. During the first half of this celebration (4:30-6:30 pm), we will enjoy an outdoor party with food, bluegrass music, and fun located outside door H. During the second half (6:30-8:00 pm), we will move to the Sanctuary for a more formal program complete with guest speakers, music, and a video tribute. Please plan to join us for this special event. No RSVP needed; just come!
