Chris Tomlin at Chapel Hill
All right… the heading is a bit misleading. But only a bit. On October 25, Chapel Hill will be one of hundreds of venues across the country who will simulcast a night of worship and prayer featuring Chris Tomlin. Other artists and speakers will include Max Lucado, Louie Giglio, Matt Redman, Phil Wickham, Tasha Cobs, Matt Maher, and Kim Walker-Smith.
In this year of prayer, it is easy to forget that music itself can be an act of prayer. Just look at the psalms. When we raise our voices in in musical praise to the Lord, that is just as much prayer as when we are reciting the Lord’s Prayer together.
I look forward to this evening with my Chapel Hill family and visiting guests. If you’d like to join Cyndi and me, follow this LINK to purchase your tickets.
When I prayed last Sunday about this “rancid” election—I believe that’s how I put it—I was amazed by the chorus of audible response. I think we are all struggling in this season. Well, we have every reason to hope in spite of it all. Come this weekend and worship: the fragrance will be sweet, I promise!

P.S By the way, here’s an early heads-up for Christmas. Since Christmas Eve falls on Saturday this year, we’re mixing up our schedule. Our two family services will be offered at 9:00 and 10:45 in the morning… yes, you heard me right; in the morning! Then, our traditional candlelight services will come at 6:00, 7:30 and 9:00pm. The last will include communion… and all will include candles! Then, on Christmas Day, one service, 10:00am… in pajamas! And bring your favorite gift, kids!
