Ride for Refugees

Ride for Refugees

Jul 2, 2022 at 9:00 AM

Refugees and asylees are forced to flee their home due to persecution for who they are or what they believe. They arrive to Washington State with great hopes for finding a new home in safety.

World Relief works across Washington State to support refugees and other immigrants in vulnerable situations as they bravely start a new life. We invite you to participate in our Ride for Refugees as a demonstration of welcome to our newest neighbors and raise funds to support their integration into our community.

Chapel Hill Church will have a team to “ride for refugees” who are resettling in our state. We encourage you to invite your family, friends, or LifeGroup to join us and ride, run, or walk as many miles as you’d like. Collectively, we would love for the total number of miles we all contribute as a team to add up to a century (100 miles).

The funds you raise will provide:

  • Airport reception
  • Transportation
  • Help finding safe and affordable housing
  • English classes
  • Job skills training
  • Interview & resume preparation
  • Connection to community
  • ...and more!

Sign up or support our team here.
