What do you work hard at? Is it your job, your marriage, parenting? Where does your relationship with Jesus fall? If you’re not working hard for it, what does that say about its priority in your life?

As you look back over your life, what memories do you have of working really hard? As you look at your faith-journey, do you work equally hard at it? Why? Why not?

Read Philippians 2:12-18. What’s the difference between working for your salvation and working out your salvation? Which is Paul talking about here?

As you think about people you know who “shine like stars”, what characteristics make them different from the culture around them? How about you? Can people tell you are a believer by your behavior?
